Erasmus+ Week / Erasmus Days in Uzbekistan

10 October, Monday

The final conference of CBHE “HIEDTEC: Modernisation of higher education in Central Asia through new technologies” project was held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT).

In this Meeting representatives from 21 partners institutions from Bulgaria, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took part.

During the event the partners were presented the results of the project in each higher education institutions. 

The project partners prepared and developed the following:

• Recommendations for Adapting the Central Asian HE System to the Needs of the Digital Generation 

• Sustainable academic network for sharing experience and exchange of good practices in the field of innovative educational technologies and didactic models

• Concept for adapting the education system to the digital generation

• Establishing a centre of innovative educational technologies and active learning classrooms. Purchase virtual classroom software

• Handbook of Innovative Educational Technologies

• Syllabus of a course for the acquisition of digital skills and innovative teaching and learning methods 

Courses for trainers for the acquisition of digital skills and innovative teaching and learning methods

Information Briefing: Erasmus+ Week and Erasmus Days  /Live stream on Instagram

On the first day, an information briefing of the Erasmus+ Week and Erasmus Days was held, where the audience was provided with information about the events of various formats, Erasmus+ quiz, promotion of Erasmus+ project results and information seminars, podcasts and interviews.

11 October, Tuesday

The next project event of CBHE “HIEDTEC: Modernisation of higher education in Central Asia through new technologies” project was held at the Andijan Machine-Building Institute. 

The meeting of the HiEdTec project was attended by partners of the project: University of Ruse in Bulgaria, University of Pavia in Italy, University of Luxembourg in Luxembourg, Coimbra University in Portugal and 15 higher education institutions of Central Asian countries, https://youtu.be/0GPtpTn3C68 

At the opening ceremony of the meeting at the Youth Center in Andijan city, the deputy governor of Andijan region Nasibullo Mominov read the congratulatory speech of the regional governor, https://youtu.be/9Y329oFgkHY 

More than 20 higher education institutions and representatives of 5 Central Asian ministries of higher education participated in this project meeting, and the personal participation of rectors of 5 higher educational institutions increased the importance of the meeting.

The second and third days of the meeting were organized in the building of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering of the Andijan machine-building Institute. Based on the plan, the reports of the work carried out within the framework of the project of each partner HEI were heard and the center of innovative educational technologies established at the institute was introduced to all participants.

During the project meeting, memorandums were signed between the Andijan machine-building Institute and a number of partner HEIs. Also, after the memorandum signing ceremony, A meeting was held between the rectors of these educational institutions and the rector of the Andijan machine-building Institute, prof. Umid Turdialiyev. At the meeting, ideas were exchanged on further expansion of relations with these higher education institutions. In particular, important issues such as student exchange, joint training of doctoral students, development of scientific activities, joint work on international projects, joint development of educational literature and programs were discussed.

During this meeting, Andijan machine-building institute presented Academician Hrusto Beloev, Rector of Ruse University with the title of honorary professor of the institute.

12 October, Wednesday

The final conference of CBHE “NICOPA: New and Innovative Courses for Precision Agriculture” project was held at the Kazakh Agro Technical University. 

At the Final Conference, welcoming speeches were made by Kurishbayev A.K., project coordinator, Tokbergenov I.T., acting Chairman of the Board of S. Seifullin KATU, Rustamov R.M., the Head of the Department for Attestation of Educational Institutions of the State Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mamedov E., Chief Specialist of the International Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Abdurakhmanova A., Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan, Sultanov T., Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of the SRU “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization”.

Erasmus+ Information and Promotion Session

The Erasmus+ Information and Promotion Session was organised with the newcomer university in Erasmus+: Fergana regional branch of Uzbekistan state institute of art and culture in online format. 

At the event, information was presented about all directions of the Erasmus+ programme, and local coordinators and project team members of " Capacity Building in Higher Education - CBHE" projects shared information about their projects and best practices.

The Erasmus+ Information and Promotion Session was organised with the newcomer university - International Agriculture University.  

At the event, information was presented about all directions of the Erasmus+ programme, and local coordinators and project team members of " Capacity Building in Higher Education - CBHE" projects shared information about their projects and best practices.

13 October, Thursday

Podcast with Erasmus+ CBHE projects team

The first podcast was published on Thursday the 13th of October 2022! Project teams from 3 different higher education institutions of Uzbekistan have interesting stories to tell about their Erasmus+ “Capacity Building in Higher Education” projects. The aim of the podcast is to promote the Erasmus+ activities and achievements. Podcast were published on UZ NEO Facebook & Instagram pages, Telegram & YouTube channels.

Erasmus+ Information and Promotion Session 

During the event the NEO staff were presented the opportunities of Erasmus+ programme for higher education institutions of Uzbekistan. According to previous practice we also invited the CBHE project teams to provide information on the implementation of projects. The Erasmus+ session was organised at the newly established University of Digital Economics and Agrotechnologies.

The following projects participated in the event with their presentations and answered to many questions:

TRIGGER: Triggering innovative approaches, entrepreneurial skills and attitudes in HEI learners through creating the favourable conditions for graduate’s employability in Central Asia

14 October, Friday

Erasmus+ Session for non-academic organisations 

During the event the NEO staff were presented the opportunities of Erasmus+ programme for non-academic organisations in cooperation with the higher education institutions. The representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education, who are directly involved in Erasmus+ CBHE projects, was invited to share their experience. 

This event was attended by Deputy Minister R. Khakimov, directors and employees of the Ministry and the Centers under the Ministry. During the event, there were a lot of questions and recommendations on the dissemination of information about the activities and results of Erasmus+ projects.

15 October, Saturday

On October 15, 2022 the members of the Erasmus+ HiEdTec project of Tashkent State University of Economics made a presentation at the republic-wide scientific-practical conference on the topic "Directions for the development of a favorable business environment in the conditions of digitalization of the economy". The topic of the presentation was "Development of the higher education system through digital technologies". The future of education, technologies, digitization, Education 4.0 and the progress made in the HiEdTec project were discussed.Furthermore, the project partners met with the administration of the TSUE and were able to exchange views and discuss ideas for new Erasmus+  projects.

Erasmus+ quiz

During the Erasmus+ week/Erasmus Days in Uzbekistan a quiz “How well do you know the Erasmus+ programme?” dedicated to the Erasmus+ programme, were carried out. One question per day were posted on UZ NEO Instagram page & Telegram channel.

On October 15, the results of the Erasmus quiz contest were summed up, which resulted in 3 winners. The winners were awarded with gifts from NEO.
