Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Grant Holders Meeting 20–21 January 2026
On 20–21 January 2026, the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Grant Holders Meeting was held, bringing together project coordinators, beneficiaries, representatives of the European Commission, and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

The meeting served as an important platform to guide newly selected CBHE projects and to provide detailed information on project implementation, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, data protection, audit requirements, and communication strategies.
During the first day, participants received an overview of the 2025 CBHE selection results and practical recommendations for effective project management. Special attention was given to key dimensions for successful project implementation, quality assurance, monitoring standards, and compliance with EU regulations. Sessions on data protection obligations, ex-post audits, and improving project websites provided valuable guidance for ensuring transparency, sustainability, and visibility of projects.

On the second day, regional workshops were organized to address region-specific priorities and challenges. The Central Asia regional workshop brought together representatives of CBHE projects from the region, project officers, policy experts, and National Erasmus+ Offices. The session focused on:
-
Strengthening cooperation between Central Asian higher education institutions and EU partners
-
Addressing regional needs in higher education reform and modernization
-
Sharing practical experiences and lessons learned from ongoing CBHE projects
-
Enhancing project sustainability and impact at national and regional levels
From Uzbekistan, representatives of six CBHE projects selected under Call 2025 actively participated in the meeting: GreenCamUz, DIANA, EDUCATIA, GreenENGINE, MECAS, and Cyber4CA. Their participation reflects the strong engagement of Uzbek higher education institutions in Erasmus+ Capacity Building initiatives and their commitment to advancing innovation, digitalization, sustainability, and academic modernization in the region.

The meeting provided valuable insights and practical tools to support effective implementation of CBHE projects and further strengthen collaboration between the European Union and Central Asia in the field of higher education.
