SPHERE VIRTUAL STUDY VISIT ON TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WAS HELD
On 16 December 2025, within the framework of the SPHERE initiative, a virtual study visit on Teaching and Learning for Sustainable Development was successfully organized. The event brought together representatives of higher education institutions and experts to discuss the integration of sustainable development competencies into teaching and learning processes.
During the virtual study visit, the experience of the University of Extremadura was presented as a key case study. Participants gained detailed insights into the university’s strategy for teaching and learning for sustainable development, its role in regional development, and its cooperation with society.

Within the programme, the following topics were discussed:

International cooperation through EU alliances, internship programmes, and service learning

This virtual study visit contributed to effective experience sharing, constructive dialogue, and the strengthening of international cooperation among higher education institutions in the field of sustainable development.
