Erasmus+ QUARTZ Project’s 4th Coordination Meeting in Samarkand!

On 10–12 September, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage hosted the next important coordination meeting within the framework of the Quality Assurance for Reform and Transformation of HEIs in Uzbekistan (QUARTZ) project.

During the meeting:

• HERE expert Dr. Zumrad Usmanova delivered a presentation on the contribution of the Erasmus+ Programme to the development of higher education in Uzbekistan;
• the first 18 months of project results were presented;
• interim reports on quality assurance, financial management, and dissemination activities were discussed;
• best practices from European universities in improving the quality of education were shared.

The meeting brought together representatives of European and Uzbek higher education institutions, as well as Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) who actively participated in the discussions.

The outcomes of the meeting will contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education in Uzbekistan and strengthening international cooperation.
