I2-PLEDGE: Driving Digital Growth in Uzbekistan through Biomedical Engineering

The Erasmus+ I2-PLEDGE project (01.01.2023 – 31.12.2025) is aimed at creating a modern and innovative Bachelor’s degree programme in Biomedical Engineering in Uzbekistan. This initiative seeks to reduce the shortage of qualified engineers in the healthcare system, ensure the correct and efficient use of medical equipment, and provide high-quality maintenance services.

Key objectives of the project:

Develop a new Bachelor’s programme in Biomedical Engineering

Introduce innovative teaching methods, new learning materials, and industrial internships into the curriculum

Train Uzbek university lecturers at European universities and enhance their qualifications

Launch the new curriculum at 3 universities and update existing curricula at 4 universities

Train at least 10 lecturers and enroll at least 20 students in the new or updated program at each participating university
