Kick-off meeting of the ESGCA project

From January 21-23, 2025, the University of Genoa (Italy) is hosting the kick-off meeting of the ESGCA project, an ambitious initiative aimed at strengthening environmental, social and governance (ESG) sustainability in Central Asia.
The project brings together leading universities, research centers and governmental organizations from Central Asia and Europe:

- European Documentation Center Public Foundation (EDC) - Kyrgyzstan
- Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (APAPKR) - Kyrgyzstan
- Issyk-Kul State University (IKSU) - Kyrgyzstan
- Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (APAPKZ) - Kazakhstan
- Kokshetau State University (KOKSU) - Kazakhstan
- Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan (APAPUZ) - Uzbekistan
- Bukhara State University (BSU) - Uzbekistan
- Tajik National University (TNU) - Tajikistan
- Tajik Agrarian University (TAU) - Tajikistan
- State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (SEIT) - Turkmenistan
- International Oil and Gas University (IOGU) - Turkmenistan
- Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu (ULBS) - Romania
- Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STUBA) - Slovakia
Project objectives:
✅ Development of two-year Master programs in the field of ESG;
✅ Establishment of research and innovation centers in Central Asian universities;
✅ Strengthening academic cooperation and employment opportunities for graduates.
We express our sincere gratitude to the European Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA) for the support, thanks to which the ESGCA project not only strengthens cooperation between universities in Europe and Central Asia, but also contributes to the development of regional interaction between Central Asian countries.
The main objectives of the meeting are:
- Introduction of the project partners;
- Discussion of the structure and stages of the project implementation;
- Formation of the strategy for implementation of master's programs and innovative solutions.
