Expanding agricultural education through Erasmus+ collaboration!

On February 14, 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan (NEO) participated in the Networking Event on International Cooperation in Agricultural Education and Research at the Samarkand Institute of Agri-Innovations and Research.

Erasmus+ Session Highlights:

  • Presentation on Erasmus+ opportunities for HEIs in the agricultural sector – Participants learned about available funding for Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects and international partnerships.
  • Grant proposal workshop – Erasmus+ Project Manager Bonu Abdusalomova led a hands-on session on how to develop a competitive Erasmus+ project proposal, guiding participants through key requirements, proposal structuring, and best practices.
  • Engagement with universities & research institutes – Representatives from 9 HEIs and 22 research institutions explored how Erasmus+ can support agricultural innovation, sustainable development, and research collaboration.
  • Networking with international partners – Discussions with key stakeholders, including FAO, UNDP, IWMI, CARITAS, KOPIA, and others, focused on aligning agricultural education with global research and innovation trends.

This event provided a valuable platform for universities and research institutions to connect, exchange ideas, and develop future Erasmus+ projects in agriculture, food security, climate resilience, and sustainability.

Let’s continue expanding international opportunities for Uzbekistan’s higher education sector with Erasmus+!
