SPHERE: Advancing Sustainable Transportation in Uzbekistan

The SPHERE project (29.02.2024 – 27.02.2027) is driving Uzbekistan toward a greener future by transforming higher education into sustainable transportation. With a budget of €799,075, including €414,877 for Uzbekistan, this Strand 2, cross-regional initiative aims to modernize curricula, establish cutting-edge laboratories, and train professionals in line with EU best practices.

 

Key Objectives of SPHERE: 

-Develop and implement 6 new undergraduate/master’s curricula aligned with EU standards;

-Establish 6 state-of-the-art laboratories for practical learning;

-Organize training for 180+ transport professionals to enhance skills and industry knowledge ;

-Support accreditation of 5 study programs (4 bachelor’s, 1 master’s) ;

 

Uzbekistan’s Partner Universities: 

-Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent 

-Tashkent State Transport University 

-Kimyo International University in Tashkent 

-Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan 

 

By bridging the gap between education and industry, SPHERE contributes to Uzbekistan’s commitment to the Green Deal, fostering sustainable and eco-friendly transport solutions.
