4TH GREENDT PROJECT MEETING HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF AVEIRO

From 16–18 September 2026, representatives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT) participated in the 4th GREENDT Project Meeting, hosted by the University of Aveiro (UAveiro), Portugal.

The meeting provided an opportunity for project partners to review ongoing activities, discuss progress, and strengthen cooperation in developing modern Master’s education in Environmental Engineering in Uzbekistan.

Key developments within the project:

• KIUT has launched a Master’s programme in Environmental Engineering, while work is ongoing to develop modern laboratory facilities, an e-learning platform, and international academic cooperation.
• Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between KIUT and UAveiro, an agreement was reached within the Erasmus+ ICM project to provide a KIUT Master’s student with the opportunity to undertake a one-semester academic exchange at the University of Aveiro.

The GREENDT project contributes to the development of modern engineering education, sustainable development, and international academic cooperation in Uzbekistan.
