SPHERE EVENTS 2026 IN BUCHAREST

14–15 September 2026: SPHERE Seminar & Bologna Process Symposium in Bucharest

The SPHERE Seminar and Bologna Process Symposium were held on 14–15 September 2026 at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, bringing together representatives of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) network, National Erasmus+ Offices, and international higher education experts.

Uzbekistan was represented by Ilhom Abdurahmanov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Namangan State Technical University; Javlonbek Raxmatillayev, Senior Lecturer at Andijan State Technical Institute; and Mahmudjon Utkurov from the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan (NEO).

During the first day of the seminar, participants discussed skills development in higher education, learning outcomes and competences, digital and AI skills, and institutional approaches to learning and teaching.

The Bologna Process Symposium on 15 September focused on reforms within the European Higher Education Area, inclusion, equity and diversity, implementation of higher education policies, and new developments within the Bologna Process. The event also provided participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences and practices from their countries and higher education institutions.

Such international platforms offer valuable opportunities to exchange experience, explore new approaches, and strengthen cooperation for the further development of higher education.
