Erasmus+ CBHE 2026 Results Announced!
Within the framework of the 2026 Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Call, 11 of the 180 projects selected for funding involve higher education institutions (HEIs) from Central Asia. Of these, 9 include participation from Uzbekistan, and in 4 projects Uzbekistan is acting as the lead institution and Grant Holder (coordinator):

- Al-Khwarizmi University — Erasmus+ CBHE WASTE-UZ
- JIZZAKH POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE — Erasmus+ CBHE UzEcoDigiT
- FERGANA STATE UNIVERSITY — Erasmus+ CBHE FOOD4FUTURE
Overall, 17 higher education institutions from Uzbekistan, representing Tashkent, Khorezm, Bukhara, Andijan, Fergana and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, are participating in the projects. The total budget allocated to Central Asia (Region 6) amounts to approximately EUR 6.5 million. In addition, 27 universities and relevant ministries from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are also involved in these projects.
3 higher education institutions from Uzbekistan are participating in CBHE projects for the first time. 2 of them are public institutions and 1 is a private institution:
- Al-Khwarizmi University
- Nukus Branch of The Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnologies
- International Nordic University
For information, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan is participating in a total of two projects. In addition, seven non-HEI organizations from Uzbekistan are involved, including ministries, associations, companies and unions:
