Erasmus+ Programme Opportunities Session at Renaissance University

On 15 January, a meeting was organized at Renessans University with Mr. Mahmudjon O‘tkurov, Project Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the session was to provide detailed information to the university’s academic staff on the procedures for applying to Erasmus+ projects, participation requirements, and practical opportunities available under the programme.

 

During the meeting, the NEO Project Manager presented comprehensive guidance on several key Erasmus+ actions:

  • Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) – including objectives, partnership requirements, project structure, and tips for preparing competitive proposals focused on institutional development and curriculum modernization.

  • International Credit Mobility (ICM) – outlining mobility opportunities for students, academic and administrative staff, application procedures, and inter-institutional agreements.

  • Jean Monnet Actions – explaining opportunities to develop teaching and research activities in European Union studies through Modules, Chairs, and Centres of Excellence.

  • Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) – presenting scholarship opportunities for students to pursue integrated joint master’s programmes in European universities.

  • Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) – highlighting support for the development of new high-quality joint master’s programmes.

The NEO representative also provided practical recommendations to Renessans University on preparing project applications and emphasized the importance of building strong partnerships, including cooperation with other higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and European universities.

For information, Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme supporting projects, partnerships, events, and mobility in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport. The programme enables cooperation and funding opportunities among 33 participating countries, fostering international collaboration and academic exchange across all these sectors.
