Erasmus+ DEBSEUZ Project: Solar Energy – Education, Innovation, and Cooperation
On January 13, 2026, an international seminar dedicated to solar energy officially began at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU). The event was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ DEBSEUz project, “Development of a Targeted Educational Program for Bachelors in Solar Energy in Uzbekistan,” and focused on the theme “Solar Energy for Uzbekistan: Education, Innovation, and Industry.”

The seminar is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy, “Uzenergoinspection,” the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan, as well as leading higher education institutions from Uzbekistan and Europe. Representatives of major companies such as ACWA Power, Masdar, and Mir Solar are also participating in the event.

In his speech, the Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan, H.E. Toivo Klaar, emphasized that sustainable energy is a key area of cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia and reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening knowledge exchange and partnership.
