Erasmus+ Information Session in Karshi!

Yesterday, on 23 September 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Erasmus+ HEREs team organized an information session on Erasmus+ opportunities for HEIs at Karshi State Technical University. The event was opened by the Rector of Karshi State Technical University, Sherzod Nematov.

The event gathered representatives from higher education institutions of Kashkadarya, HEREs experts, and teams of ongoing Erasmus+ CBHE projects.

During the session, participants not only learned about the overall goals and objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme but also gained detailed insights into its various opportunities:

• CBHE project experiences: Achievements and useful practices from ITEM, MECHAUZ, HEMUA, RENES, UZDOC 2.0, and MAGNET

Opportunities for higher education institutions:

1. International Credit Mobility (ICM)
2. Jean Monnet projects
3. Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE)

Opportunities for students and staff:

1. International Credit Mobility
2. Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) programmes

Speakers included Mahmudjon Utkurov (Project Manager, National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan), Alibek Eshev (Karshi State Technical University), and Nasiba Azizova (Karshi State University), who shared their experiences and practical recommendations.
