TAM Online Seminar: Lifelong Learning for a Sustainable Future

On May 15–16, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, a two-day Technical Assistance Mission (TAM) online seminar was held on the topic: "Lifelong Learning as a Key to Sustainable Development: Technical Solutions for Global Challenges." This event was organized with the support of the HEREs (Higher Education Reform Experts) team of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The keynote speaker, Professor Kirsi Popova from TAMK – Tampere University of Applied Sciences, shared insights on lifelong learning approaches in Europe and how they contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition, Dr. Ilhom Abdurahmanov, Head of the International Ranking Department at “TIIAME” NRU and HERE expert, delivered a presentation on “The Role of Micro-Credentials in Education and Lifelong Learning.” The discussion focused on how this innovative approach creates new opportunities for both individuals and higher education institutions.

Also featured in the programme was Kobilov Nurbek, HERE expert and Head of the International Relations Department at the University of Information Technologies and Management, who presented on “The Future of Lifelong Learning in Sustainable Development.”

On the second day, participants actively exchanged views on tackling global challenges, the importance of education, sustainability strategies, and practical approaches for HEIs. The seminar was organized as part of the HEREs activities under the Erasmus+ Programme, with active participation from representatives of leading higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
