Erasmus+ Seminar on Project Proposal Development Held at Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies
On January 21, 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) and the Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies, organized an Erasmus+ informational and methodological seminar on project proposal development. The seminar aimed to introduce Erasmus+ programmes to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), with a special focus on newcomers to the Erasmus+ network and those interested in Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects. The event brought together participants from HEIs in Navoi and Bukhara, as well as representatives from completed and ongoing CBHE projects.
The seminar commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Bakhtiyor Mardonov, Rector of the Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies, who warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants. Key speakers at the event included Bonu Abdusalomova and Makhmudjon Utkurov, project managers at the National Erasmus+ Office, Zumrad Usmanova, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at SamIES and a member of the HEREs team, Nodira Rakhimova, Senior Lecturer at Navoi State University, and Iroda Tursunova, Project Coordinator at the Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies. They delivered comprehensive presentations on the benefits of Erasmus+, key elements for successful project development, and emerging trends in higher education in Uzbekistan.
The seminar also highlighted two CBHE projects—EMINReM and RUECVET—which were presented by Iroda Tursunova and Nodira Rakhimova, respectively.
Active participation was observed from institutions such as the Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies, Navoi State University, and the Navoi Institute of Innovation.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates and souvenirs in recognition of their involvement, marking the event as a significant and successful contribution to the Erasmus+ programme.
