Online TAM Seminar on Green Education Strategies Brings International Experts Together | Overview

On December 26-27, 2024, the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University (TIIAME NRU) hosted an online seminar titled Green Education Concepts & Strategies in Higher Education. The event was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, as part of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Moderated by Dr. Ilhom Abdurahmanov, Head of the International Ranking Department at TIIAME NRU, the seminar featured two main experts: Dr. Nur Orak from Marmara University, Turkey, and Dr. Ayaz Mammadov from Western Caspian University, Azerbaijan. Key discussions focused on sustainability in higher education, green campus initiatives, and addressing environmental challenges, such as the Aral Sea crisis.

 

The event aimed to provide actionable insights on integrating green practices into university operations and fostering a sustainable future in higher education​.
