Kokand University Hosts Erasmus+ Opportunities Seminar for Higher Education Institutions
On October 15, 2024, Kokand University, in collaboration with the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan and the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), hosted an Erasmus+ Opportunities seminar as part of the Autumn Erasmus+ Week celebrations. The event focused on introducing Erasmus+ programs to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), with a particular emphasis on newcomers to the Erasmus+ network and those interested in Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects.
The seminar was opened by Jamoliddin Kambarov, vice-rector for academic affairs at Kokand University, who welcomed participants and expressed his gratitude to the organizers and attendees. Bonu Abdusalomova and Makhmudjon Utkurov, project managers at the National Erasmus+ Office, and Alisher Yunusov, associate professor at the Fergana Polytechnic Institute, served as key speakers. They provided detailed presentations on the benefits of Erasmus+, essential elements for project development, and the latest trends affecting higher education in Uzbekistan.
The event saw active participation from representatives of institutions such as the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agro-Technology, Fergana Regional Branch of the Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan, Fergana International Institute of Food Technology and Engineering, Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute, and the International Relations Department of the Higher Management School of Information Systems of Latvia’s branch in Fergana.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants received certificates and souvenirs in recognition of their involvement, making this event a successful contribution to the Autumn Erasmus+ Week activities.
