Erasmus + Information Day in Uzbekistan
In the first part of the event, the head of the State Inspectorate for Quality Control in Education U.N. Tashkenbayev, First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education K.H.Karimov, Head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and the EU Institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs A.G.Shakhavdinov, Deputy Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan Alessandro Liamine addressed participants with a welcoming speech. During their speeches, they stressed the need for the country's universities to make full use of the existing opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme to develop and improve higher education and improve the quality of education and to actively participate in Erasmus+ cooperation projects.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, Embassies of France, Latvia, Hungary and the Czech Republic in Uzbekistan.
In the second part of the event, representatives of the Directorate General Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) presented new opportunities for Erasmus+ 2021-2027 and open directions for Uzbekistan higher educational institutions.
