The next meeting of participants of the ERASMUS+ “LESLIE” project was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

On 4–5 December of this year, the next meeting of participants of the LESLIE project — “Land Management, Environment and Solid Waste: Linking Education and Business in Central Asia” — was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the European Union’s ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme.


The meeting was attended by representatives of leading higher education institutions from Europe and Central Asia, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the interim results of the project were discussed, and the key areas of activities planned for 2026 were identified.

Representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan, Ulugbek Khodiyev and Gayrat Abdiyev, actively participated in the event.

Within the framework of the project’s work packages, discussions focused on tasks related to quality assurance, development of educational modules, creation of online tools, and dissemination of project results to a wider audience.

At the conclusion of the discussions, the interim outcomes of the project were summarized, and the main directions of activities planned for 2026 were finalized.
