GREENDT Training in Ourense: On the Path to Green Knowledge!

From July 16 to 18, within the framework of the Erasmus+ GREENDT project, a group of students from Uzbekistan participated in a training session held at the University of Vigo’s Ourense campus in Spain. The training was titled: “Pedagogical Approach Based on Training of Trainers for the Master’s Program in Environmental Engineering in Uzbekistan.”

The training included both theoretical and practical sessions on the following topics:

European environmental and climate law: principles and policies

Legislation on the European Green Deal and renewable energy

Equity and inclusion: rethinking education for diversity (“Engineering for All”)

Study visit to campus-based solar panels and geothermal systems

Practical workshops on sustainability, water resources, and environmental issues

At the end of the training, participants also visited “AQUARGA,” a company specializing in wastewater treatment, for a hands-on learning experience.
