On May 28, the renowned mathematician, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and professor Azimboy Sa’dullayev passed away.

Professor Sa’dullayev made an invaluable contribution not only through his groundbreaking research but also through his active involvement in international education projects, significantly enriching the development of science and higher education in Uzbekistan.

Within the Tempus and Erasmus+ programmes, he participated in several major international projects. Notably:

  • UNICACUniversity Cooperation Framework for Knowledge Transfer in Central Asia and China – where he actively contributed to inter-university collaboration, research integration, and capacity building.

  • ITEMImproving the Teaching of Mathematics – where he played a direct role in enhancing the quality of mathematics education in higher education institutions, developing new teaching methodologies, and training young lecturers.

Professor Sa’dullayev’s contributions to international projects served as a source of inspiration for many young scholars and helped integrate European educational practices into Uzbekistan’s higher education system.
