Erasmus+ Cluster meeting on the impact of Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects in Samarkand

Erasmus+ Cluster meeting on the impact of Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects in Samarkand was organised on 15 September 2023. It took place in the framework of a monitoring visit of Ms Maria-Sol Domínguez Parrado, the EACEA Project Officer. The NEO Uzbekistan organised the event in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov, and the EACEA. It was aimed to increase the visibility of CBHE projects and synergies among the various CBHE projects involving higher education institutions located in Samarkand; assess the impact of the projects already finished at different levels (individual, institutional, system, and national); analyse the reasons for the decline in participation of universities from the region in the CBHE Programme; and allow the exchange of good practices among participants.

Project coordinators and members shared their experiences and project results. Ms Maria-Sol Domínguez Parrado made a presentation on Erasmus+ CBHE projects in Central Asia: Uzbekistan. Participants were able to ask specific questions on perspective partnerships and project proposal procedures.
