Two-week camp of Erasmus+ CBHE ECAMPUZ project
As part of the "ECAMPUZ European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE" project, which is co-funded by the European Union, a two-week educational training program called CAMP 1 was held from September 18 to September 30, 2023. The program was attended by 26 undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students from five Republican universities that are project partners: Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Bukhara Engineering and Technology Institute, Andijan State University, and Urgench State University.
During September 27-28, the students received training at the Center for Advanced Technologies by professors and teachers from the University of Copenhagen. The UCPH team shared advanced knowledge, innovative technologies, and methods of analysis in the field of food science with Uzbek students.
As part of the ECAMPUZ project CAMP 1, the team organized a visit to the leading brewery plant in Uzbekistan called "UzCarlsberg", where the participants saw the modern technological line for producing beer, from raw materials to the final product.
CAMP 1 concluded with a mini-conference on September 29, 2023, during which the groups presented their innovative solutions to problems in a plenary session at the CAT. Teams demonstrated their presentations and received general feedback from EU trainers to work on their final report, which must be submitted by December 31, 2023.
